March 30, 2021 - St. Marys - Cambridge with Mugsy

I didn't take too many pictures today.  Although spring is in the air, there is still a lot of brown and gray on the ground.

I met Mugsy at St. Mary's Airport (2W6).  I was shocked -- but not really surprised -- to find the AvGas price had shot up 75 cents/gallon since I had last been here a little over a month ago.

We then headed back across the bay to Cambridge where we had lunch at Kay's at the Airport.

Then we went up and did some formation practice to knock the rust off:  turns in close formation, crossunders, echelon turns, breaks and rejoins, the usual stuff.

Now I'm heading home back to Essex Skypark.  I hadn't flown in a month -- away on a Florida/New Orleans road trip -- and it felt good to be back in the air.

A sailboat underway with the Chesapeake Bay to itself.

Looking down at Essex Skypark.  The hangars are looking much better these days.  Ever since a 99 year lease was received from the airport owner -- Baltimore County, for $200,000 which hangar owners paid -- individuals have been willing to put money into their hangars.
